communications, and research. Her firm provides strategic research,
analysis, writing and editing, and design services to associations,
nonprofits and small to mid-size businesses across the country. Firm
associates partner with clients to examine goals and identify resources
to develop solutions that will best meet their needs
– including tailored
customer surveys, high impact copywriting, creative web design, and
strategic analysis.
Gaea brings a broad perspective to her work. She has served as
Director of Media Relations for a county agency, Senior Research
Associate for a national healthcare research project, Acting Director of
an association, Secretary of the Corporation for a start-up community
wealth enterprise, and Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation
Relations for a New England college. Gaea began her career providing
public relations, technical assistance, proofreading, and project
management for a national publishing center, and conducting
communications for a statewide child welfare initiative.
A freelance writer and editor, she writes feature articles, edits
fiction and nonfiction, and works on her own book projects and blog

Her editing projects include Mending the Cloth: Healing Clergy Domestic
Violence (forthcoming), Break the Code: A Parental Guide to Internet
Safety, 2nd ed. (forthcoming), and Rose Tainted Justice: Privilege,
Power, and Internal Affairs. She has written several articles, including
"Know Your Skills, Know Your Market" for Associations NOW (forthcoming),
"Plan B: Servicewomen Can Serve Our Country, But Have No Rights to
Emergency Contraception" for Average Girl Magazine; and "How Much Do We
Trust Autonomous Systems?" for Unmanned Systems.
Gaea co-authored the PeaceWear Proposal, which received an Honorable
Mention in the Pioneer Institute’s 1998 Better Government Competition.
She is a member of the American Evaluation Association, Romance
Writers of America, ASAE & the Center for Association Leadership, the
Women’s Information Network, and Consulting Women. And, she volunteers
with the Fairfax County Election Commission and DC Women for Obama.
She earned a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago,
a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in American Studies from the
University of Massachusetts, Boston, and a Bachelor of Arts from Bentley
College.
